How To  root  Tecno WX3 LTE?

To root Tecno WX3 LTE, There are two main steps involved:

1. Unlocking the Bootloader of the Tecno WX3 LTE
2. Flashing the Hovatek Philz recovery.img and SuperSU.zip

Procedure

• Firstly, Download Philz for Tecno WX3 LTE ported by Team Hovatek Here

• Secondly, Download the Superuser zip file from here

• Thirdly, Download the ADB zip and extract it on the Desktop or any relevant place.
• Extract and copy the Philz recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe

STEP 1

When done, Unlock the Bootloader of the Tecno WX3 LTE using the guide see Here

Open CMD by pressing windows key + R and typing CMD

Open Adb By Typing the following Code

cd C:\Users\Yourname\Desktop\ADB

1. Connect the phone to PC (via USB cord) while ON then run the command below (by "run", I mean type then press Enter
   Code:

   adb devices
   
    
2. If you've setup everything right, the device should get detected under List of devices attached
   
   
3. Run the command below to get the phone into Bootloader (fastboot)
   Code:

   adb reboot-bootloader
   
   
4. The phone should now boot into fastboot
   
    
5. In fastboot, test detection / connection to the device using
   Code:

   fastboot devices
   
   
6. If fastboot is set up right, you should see its ID printed out
   
   
7. Now, check the phone's Bootloader status (if its locked or unlocked)
   Code:

   fastboot getvar unlocked
   
   
8. If the Bootloader is already unlocked then you should see "Unlocked"; you can stop following this guide from here.
   
   
9. If the Bootloader is still locked, you should see Unlocked: no
   
    
10. Run the command below to unlock Bootloader
    Code:

    fastboot oem unlock

Step 2

Now copy SuperSU.zip to the phone’s External storage (SD card)

Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide up  ↑ ; don’t forget to re-enable OEM unlocking and USB Debugging)

When your phone enters Fastboot mode, load the Philz recovery to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter

1. Code:

   fastboot boot recovery.img




• Your WX3 LTE phone should automatically boot into Philz recovery mode
• In Philz recovery, use the up and down Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select
• Now Select Install Zip
• Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.82.zip on the SD Card and select it
• Wait till flashing is complete
• If you are prompted to fix root, select No
• Reboot the phone normally
• Confirm Root on your WX3 LTE phone by installing and running Root Checker from playstore
